A man finds an eagle's egg and he brings it home with him and puts it in the nest of a backyard hen.

This little eaglet cracks out of the egg and grows up with a brood of little chicks.

And he goes along his whole life thinking and acting like a chicken. He's cucking and clawing…scratching for worms and looking for insects. And he's making all the noises that chickens make: cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck.

And he’s this EAGLE, but he thrashes his wings and flies just a few feet above the ground…because that's what chickens do.

Years go by, and the eagle gets old. One day, he's looking up at the sky and he sees a magnificent bird soaring in a cloudless sky. The bird is gliding majestically on the currents, barely using its energy, with its glorious, golden wings.

He asks, in awe, “Who's that?”

And his little neighbor chicken says, “That's the eagle. That's the king of the birds. He lives in the sky. We live here on the ground because we're chickens.”

And that eagle lived and died as a chicken…

Because that's what he thought he was.
